Cordless headphones

HI Digit,

I'm still waiting for my wireless headphones from Spann Solutions (into the fifth week since I paid for them) I'll give you a report when and if they arrive.
I tried the Blue Tooth type but there was too much delay between the transmitter and the receiver to suit me.

All the best....Boony

I believe that part number is 33 1253. Check messages by tinfoil on the Exterra board. He lists the part number and he has 2 sets. I have a set and they seem to work well. The phone crossover is behind the head.

I bought the ones he uses and spent a few joyfull hunts in the woods without EVER having to stop because the cord got caught on a small branch. They worked flawlessly. If you hunt in a noisy area you would probably need to build a better sealing cup to block the noise.

I wonder how long is the charging time, then how long do they typically run when detecting. Seems like the RS 33-1253 are gaining use for MDing.
Any other pro's or con's on this wireless setup would be nice...

Well I'm gonna have to take mine back for a new pair...I don't know if I just got a badly assembled pair or if they all might have this problem...The male prong on the transmitter broke loose when I reached down to try to adjust the volume up....so I don't know if I like them or not...no delay but mine sounded weak...could be I just got a bad pair...If they are all as fragile as the first pair they won't work for me...I'll post again after I get to give em a spin...as for charge time it's supposed to be 4 hrs. & run time 12...Well there is no volume control on the transmitter & I just got back & am charging the new pair up...Before I take them out however I'm gonna use some Epoxy to secure the jack to the housing...be back later...TT

will have to order a set even though the store rep told me again that they would not work on a metal detector. I told him alot of people are using them and he said "they won't work", guess he doesn't know what he is talking about.....

How did you get on with the Spann cordless phones? I'm looking for some phones to use with an electronic drum kit, and the bluetooth phones that I tried were useless because of the time delay. I was wondering whether conventional cordless phones sufferered from the same delay?

TIA for any feedback.
Ian
