Could I have a show of hands if you own an Ace 250/150

Now matter if your a newby, came for a different forum, or swing a different brand detector. The Garrett forum will always be there for you.
Makes me proud to swing an Ace.
Damn knee won't keep me down this year. This is my 7th year of detecting and the 3rd year with a Garrett. Longest I've stayed with one brand.

Happy hunting

Bruce

Just purchased the ace 250, can't wait for the snow to melt here in NW Wisconsin!

My son bought a 250 last week for himself and ordered a 150 for my grandson yesterday!

Last year I bought a 250 to use as a back-up machine and for when my wife wants to join me on the beach.

I use an old Excalibur for wet/dry sand and really like its discrimination, but my wife has managed to take more coins with the 250 than I got with the Excal!

I thought it was just luck as I know she is lucky (she got me right?), but when my brother-in-law was visiting last fall he did the same thing!

He had never used a detector before either!

Now I'm not so sure about the luck thing!

I keep hearing that the 250 is a "coin magnet" so when the weather gets a bit more agreeable I guess I'll have to give the 250 a real work-out to see what all the excitement is about.

Bought my Ace 250 when they first came out in spring 2005 after all the forums were percolating with praises apon it's introduction! What sold me was the Ace's sensitivity to small gold items, perfect for tot lots. It's paid for itself over and over. Super ergonomic little back packer too.
A brilliant marketing move on Garrett's part for making a quality detector affordable to all. :clapping:

She paid for herself in on afternoon: http://www.findmall.com/read.php?32,1001962,1003449#msg-1003449

Good going Finder,

Copper has been in the $3.00 plus range lately so contact a reputable dealer and cash in.

GL&HH Friend,

Thanks Cupajo,
At it's height copper was hovering around $7.00/lb several months before I found them. Would have sold them for sure at that price.
If always been a bit of an artist and when I'm inspired to make picture frames or something with them. The inspiration hasn't congealed yet.

I'm fresh meat to this hobby and just purchased an ACE 250. Can't get out to try my luck with it as we have about a foot of snow and frozen ground where I live. Probably not until the end of March before thawing! I have been practicing in my basement by throwing stuff under a rug and seeing how the tector responds. Play a game with the little one where she'll hide stuff under the rugs and I find. Good practice I guess?
I've read pretty much this whole forum and have learned a lot from it!
