Pics are worth a thousand words so I'll let mine do the talking.

(1) The first pic shows the initial step, click on UPLOAD FILE.
(2) The second pic shows an arrow for BROWSE, clicking that takes you to the next step...
(3) The third pic is the browse window that pops up and allows you to go to the directory where your pic is. This is where some people get lost because it can be hard to find your pic. I always place my picture on my DESKTOP so I can go directly to it without getting lost. As you can see in that pic, I have an arrow showing that I am looking at the desktop and an arrow pointing at a pic I want to choose to upload. click your pic and then click OPEN.
(4) The fourth pic shows you what file or pic you have chosen but you STILL have to click UPLOAD.
(5) The fifth pic shows you that everything worked and your pic will be attached to your post.

Thanks Aaron!

If your image is too large to upload, over the max of 420 KB, follow these directions to resize the image to make it smaller.....

(1) RIGHT click the original image that needs to be made smaller. This opens a menu, move to OPEN WITH and a new window will open, click on PAINT.

(2) When it opens the image in paint, you will notice the image is probably really large and doesn't fit on the screen. Click on RESIZE, sometimes called STRETCH SKEW, this option may be in a drop menu for your paint version and varies from one program to the next.

(3) Clicking resize opens this window. Make sure the percentage and mantain aspect ratio is ticked as shown. Now change the value of the Horizontal box from 100 down to 50, doing so will change the vertical for you to match. Just make sure both are set at the same value.

(4) This is how it should look after changing the horizontal and vertical settings to 50. Now click OK.

(5) You'll notice that the image looks smaller and nearly, if not completely, fits on the screen now. Next, click file(arrow is poointing at FILE).

(6) This opens a drop menu, choose Save As and then click JPeg Picture.

(7) To keep the pic easy to find I suggest going to the desktop directory as shown at the VERY top of this SAVE AS window. Then to avoid saving OVER your original photo, add a number or letter to the file name as shown in the pic below, then click save.

(8 ) This shows both pics(original and the new resized pic). The resized pic is now small enough to upload but if your original pic was much larger than this was, you may have to RESIZE smaller. If its still too large to upload, follow the same steps but use a lower value in the horizontal and vertical boxes, such as 30 or 40. The lower these numbers, the smaller the image will be.

No problem. It looks harder than it really is, after resizing the first pic it will be easy.
