Couldn't believe what I FOUND!!!!!

I was hunting near the Mississippi River along the River Road in south Louisiana and came across an area that was used to dump trash (modern trash). About to load up and move to another site I spotted this big lizard (Iguana). Yes an Iguana living in an old trash pit. The black object he is laying on is an old vehicles fuel tank. He looked to be about 3 1/2 foot long. No folks living near this area, someone must have turned him lose?

Did you catch it!

Hmmm.... Wonder if it's someone's former pet or are they living in the wild there now. Very interesting! Thanks for sharing.

Supposed to taste pretty good...

Yeah it was probably somebodies pet that went feral.
My wife and I vacationed in Key West a few years ago and learned that they are a real nuisance down there.
Seems they LOVE Hibiscus flowers, so are detested by gardeners .
The state was/is campaigning to trap and remove them.
They have a huge problem with all sorts of non-native critters taking over the outback.
Boa constrictors are another one.
Glad I live up North where we only have raccoons, opossums, and stray cats !

i hear they taste like "chicken"

(h.h.!)
j.t.

I would prolly shart a little if I came up on that thing !!!
