cracked coil

Hi guys for the past couple months av been having problems with my at pro international one time its working fine the next its falsing so bad its undetectable it tends to start falsing alot more after I av used the detector for while I removed the coil cover and give it all a good clean and that's when I noticed the crack in the picture below:-( would this be the reason for my falsing maby water is getting inside after using the detector and why it then starts to false

If its a crack and not a scratch(hard for me to tell from the pic), then it very well could be the problem. Do you have a coil cover? I have one, and they work great. In fact, I have actually cracked the coil cover, but not the coil:thumbup:. If your coil is cracked, then you should send it in to Garrett to be fixed. Chances are they will do it for free, but it will take a while for the epoxy to dry.
 
Could be Like I said if you have the time I would send it in to Garrett you might get a new coil back I would really try at least They are great to work with
 
I at first thought it was jus. A deep scratch but I pulled it slightly to check and a gapcomes across the line so its defo a crack unfortunately:-( I will follow your advice and contact Garrett tomorrow hopefully with bit luck thy can fix my coil or send out a new one as its still under 1 and 3 months warranty
 
I bet they will ! So update us on it as I will on the Screen Problem I have with mine
