...Saying so long to the Tejon's...

After several years of using these awesome deep seeking machines...I have decided to move on to a different machine, and both of my Tejon's have to go to make room for the new one. Never thought I would miss em....but I do already and they aint even gone yet. I'm sure I'll get another someday but for now I gotta sacrifice two of my favorite machines....to take a chance with a new one....moment of silence please...:tesoro:

It's another name brand....so I won't start any label wars...but my son uses one for relic hunting and I have used it several times and really like it ...so my Tejons have to go ... I will say that I have found more with my tejons than any of the other detectors I have owned...put together .

Awww Cmon...spill the beans.. you shouldn't feel you cant disclose that info. Hell, i love my idx, no doubt about it. If my outlaw does'nt do what i need it to do or i cant figure it out, its up for sale in a flash and im getting me the mxt pro.....no guilt in that.....

And that my friends, is a real world example of what JASONSPAZ1 and a few others were saying about how important marketing is...

Its good to try difrent machines, if you can I have tried many , I have let go my M-6 Cibola, sivler umax, compadre, golden umax, musketeer, soverign GT , Gold bug , mostly because i could not aford two machines.

Well I am keeping my Golden uMax...it's the old tone model but I never had an issue differentiating tones on it as some spoke of. I have a small medium and DEEP coil for the golden ....and it ain't goin nowhere!!

Why don't you enlighten us all about just exactly what it is you are talking about ....?

If it finds what your looking for and as you say their awesome why change? I have used the Minelabs for many years, but wanted a simple lightweight detector that finds coins so I bought a Gold Umax. A lot lighter machine that finds what I'm looking for. I would keep what you have and dig my friend.

I've already spent the money...so I can't justify keeping these. But may come back to them at some point. Time will tell.

Ah well ... I think you will like the F75. I've got an LTD version. Great detector, kind of like a Tejon on steroids, with a clean discrimination and it will ground balance to wet salt.

So why did I keep my Tejon and still hunt with the Tejon a pretty fair amount?

There are some places that I hunt that the 75 is difficult to quiet down due to EMI; not much of an issue with the Tejon. There is not a cleansweep type of coil available for the F75. For certain types of hunts, the Tejon with cleansweep is my tool of choice.
Cheers,

Good for you John. Nothing wrong with trying new things. Its all about what works for you. I have an f2 that some may laugh at, but for those who have never tried one, they should. Its super fast, great four tones, very very good vdi, lightweight, and decent depth.

I'm still kicking myself in the butt for selling my Tejon. After breaking my arm and dislocating my shoulder, it seemed too heavy for me to swing at the time. After months of healing I got a Deleon which is the same weight and balance as the Tejon and it's no problem at all for me to swing. The Tejon was in mint condition and I sold it for $350. kick kick kick

both of my tejons are hot...and deep...but I just wanna try something different...i know I can always come back to them at some point if I dont like the fisher...and there is comfort in that.

LittleJohn, Good luck with your new F-75!

I love my Tejon, but probably would've got an fisher if I could've afforded it! My badger has a special place in my heart as it was paid for with months of summer lawn mowing and deck staining.
Hope you do well with the new detector! Life's too short not to try new stuff.
