ctx 3030, Nox 800 or Nox 600 new purchase

I am about to buy a new detector and i am curious about a few things.

I have had the CTX before and loved it but job and other things let me to sell it. I am now about to purchase a new detector and am looking at a few different things. The 3030, the NOX 800 and the NOX 600.

CTX is a lot more and i am starting over so i will be needing diggers, Pinpointer, Detector and so on. I know this is the highest in my looking at list.

Next is the NOX 800 but a 2-3 month wait.

Then the 600 i can get now.

My issue is what to choose. Anyone had or used all 3 and have some input?

My hunting would be maybe 1 trip to salt water a year and would spend every hour i can in the water. Normal hunting will be old farm houses, Farms, Land, Hills as i am in north arkansas, Rivers, Streams, Fresh water lakes and swimming areas and of course your everyday lawn.

Thanks.

How about a used CTX AND an EQ 600?

To me, these are perfect "complementary" machines; you already know how good the CTX is -- and the Equinox (either one) will find targets in thick trash that the CTX won't...

You can get a good, used CTX with some warranty left for $1350-ish; add another $650 for an EQ 600 and you are at $2000 -- right around the cost of a new CTX...

Somehow paying full retail for a CTX is obscene:thumbdown:
Do some price comparison and I'll bet you can find a new one for 1800 or less.
The Nox 600 is pretty available and only slightly less than an 800 in features and if prospecting is not in your immediate future might be the best choice.
The availability of the 800 appears to be opening up and I think a two month wait is a bit pessimistic. As the supply frees up and more people get them I think you will see the hype drop off rapidly.

Al considered from you post I'd go for the 600. A great waterproof ,all terrain unit that's just as potent as the CTX but without the bells and whistles . Its also a lot lighter .

If you have experience with the CTX that maybe a good choice.
My friend That’s here in Florida enjoying the sunshine with us has an equinox 800 that I’ve looked over and played with and it’s a new learning curve !
I’m on the list for one but may hold off now that I’ve seen one.
It’s a great machine but I’m familur with the CTX and still learning things with it and not wanting start over right now.
Maybe when all the hype burns out

I ended up with a 3030 in my hands today along with some other goodies. Ill rock this till the equinox makes more headway and see how it goes..

So now for reading and more learning.
