Last weekend was an awesome hunt finding some firsts for me in over 30 years of detecting. Including in that was an EPIC find...an 1877 Indian. I was so surprised seeing that date after washing it from under the faucet. The other coin that has eluded me since I started detecting some 30 years ago was the silver 3 cent piece. This one is an 1857 and it was 8" down and came in at 12-29. The other finds include a no date half reale, an 1895 Barber half, 19 Indians and of course the usual wheats and mercs....
Congrat on the 1877 Indian, and that 1895 Barber Half (can't see it that well), seems to be in unusually (because of the high relief, they wore very fast) great condition also!. Would love to see a closer/better photo of it!
Very nice finds. That 1877 IH looks like it is in better shape than the one I found earlier this year. Mine was in a G-3. It also appears you found the rest of the tribe to go with him. You better separate those intruders!
