Are you happy with the Cz-20 on land? I use a CZ-5 on land. I've used the 20 a couple of times on land, in a heavy rain, but wasn't comfortable with muddy, grungy hands getting grit and grime everywhere.
Does the weight of the machine bother you? In the water, you won't notice the weight, just the drag from the water resistance. On land, it's really heavy. Of course, I hipmount both on land and in the water.
What size coil do you use? Most of my beaches are clean, so I use the 10.5" coil for area coverage.
Do you loose alot of sensitivity in fresh water or just a little, as I would like to find the gold chains as well.I've never used my 20 in saltwater, so I've never experienced the really extreme depths (quarters at 13", etc.). I'm experiencing pretty much the same sensitivity levels in the water as on land with my CZ-5, since I hunt in the Salt mode on land as well, to help with the iron mineralization.
Do you have any land or fresh water tips? In the water, I dig ALL targets that give any tone higher than Iron, and Iron/mid-tone/high-tone bouncers. For land tips, you might want to visit Mike's CZ page, which I seem to have lost the link to.
