Found this while metal detecting and I don't have a clue what it is. Hidden Italy E-mailled me saying they heard from there Florentine webmaster and he said "When I was a boy I remember that on Ponte Vecchio there was written "Peruzzi" - the name of a famous ancient goldsmith. I don't know whether this goldsmith branch still exists. In his studio have been made similar coins, probably dating back around the years 1800 - the time when also the large statue of Dante Aligheri has been put on the Piazza Santa Croce and near the Uffizi"
I think it is silver since it doesn't stick to a magnet! Any info would be good Thanks.
