Darn, I cracked today.......

and bought an E-Trac. I actually only went to my local MD shop to check if he had a different coil to try on my Se Pro, but by the time I left, I had a brand new E-Trac. I said I was going to wait and see how good/bad the customer service was for my Se Pro, but when I saw it today, I just had to take it home. Now it's time to learn this thing vs. my Se Pro. After turning it on for the first time I noticed that these are certainly NOT the same machine as the Explorers. Everyone keeps saying that the E-Trac is not a glorified Explorer and its not until I turned mine on that I realized exactly how different they were. I'm looking forward to the new learning curve and I can't wait to get this thing out and compare it to my Se Pro. Thanks for reading. HH -Marc

Thanks for the reply. The one thing I will have to re-learn are the "new" fe/co values that are different for the e-trac from the Explorer. I have andy's book which is very helpful. I have been using his book from the first day that I bought the explorer and now the whole book applies to me, which is awesome! It seems that many of the best parts of his book always applied only to the e-trac and now they apply to me, great! I tried to search it but couldn't find a solid list of Fe/Co values for the e-trac. Could somebody please post a link to values if there is one. I will keep looking and I look forward to hopefully posting some interesting finds. HH -Marc

I think there is a sticky at the top of the page Marc. Give that a try. I do know Andy's book has some also, in written and "grid" form. I don't have mine in front of me or I'd give you the page numbers.

Thank you. I just found all the posts I was looking for. I cant wait to take the e-trac out tomorrow and give it a try. Got a friend that just bought an old farm that used to belong to a mafiosi (a couple of owners ago) that used it as his hideout. Might be an interesting place to give the e-trac its first use. Ill let you know if I find anything worth mentioning. Thanks again for the help. -Marc
