for our beloved Sovereigns and Excaliburs, on eBay, right now. Found them by searching with the term "Sovereign GT". Sale is out of Australia.

I think I'm going to have a cutter made so that I can start punching out my own washers .....

They dont have to be tear drop. I showed how you can get a round washer just a tad bigger and squeeze them right in there just fine. Honestly.... how many machines u ever saw that didnt use round washers. Thet b just fine.

I just like the fact that the teardrop shaped washer gives more washer - coil contact . I'm just anal when it comes to stuff like that .... :sadwalk:

In that case have you noticed their washer is a bit to soft. Thats an area you need to pay attention to. When they get loose we tend to want to crank those bolts down more. But ..... thats when the wear to the head starts and if you crank them to often you can separate the bottom of the coil. Been there done that......... but then there isnt much i havent broken.

You've just made me come up with another idea. I'm going to use one of the new, teardrop washers as a template to make shims, out of a plastic milk jug. That way, as the washers wear, I can use shims behind them to extend their life. Tried to find some washers, locally, that would work for that but couldn't find any that were thin enough. Thanks, Dew!

Like this. Took them (round) from a Whites end piece and discovered they can fit nicely in the excel endpiece...
Then found this thread...
