Decided to go relic / coin hunting today at an old park. No remarkable coins, but did find a couple of relics ( I think they are , anyway) and a silve

Went there with the hope of finding some silver coins....and maybe an IH, but no luck today

The only high sound I heard....and was so hoping it was one of those flying eagle quarters turned out to be a silver medallion...it's pretty, but I don't wear much jewelry..would have rather found the coin.

Question about the buckle: anyone know what kind of buckle it is....and if it is OK to clean it, or would cleaning it destroy its value ( if any )?

Any information on cleaning /not cleaning would be appreciated

Also same for rouge compact; I have to do a little research on this one...probably it's from the '40's or 50's

many we have pulled out in farm fields. It's just tough to tell with out a close examination. We find harness (animal) buckles, crossbelt (historic) and shoe buckles. Since you have it in your hands you might try looking up old buckle types on the Internet. First try to determine to type of metal, take a measurement - length x width then google it. I'm only using my iPhone and zooming in.
