Deep digs = 6 silver

Got out early to beat some of the heat today and did a couple parks. These places have older coins but they require a lot of deep digging. Most of the coins are about 8-10 inches down. Got some wheats also.

I was rewarded with these 3 silver Roosevelts, a silver & turquoise ring, a silver war nickel, 1943, and this piece of bracelet that tested out as silver. Nice and heavy, couldn't find the rest of it.

Also dug this large button that Says ROMA XXVI. Any ideas ? The wheaty is gold plated and sits in a rim that had a loop on it but broke off. Steve in so az

WTG, Steve! Nice finds and I'm sorry .....don't know anything about the button.....it could have been copied from a Roman Coin and worn on a coat! Congrats on doing good .....very hot and humid here and lots of lightning, thunder and rain, rain & more rain last night! Too wet to mow the back lawn today...did the front and southside yesterday....made me ill but I'll be okay! Praise God!

God Bless!

was found on ebay - no value to speak of. Hey - instead of cutting the grass you should be out digging coins :) Steve

Yeah my kind of place to hunt! Maybe I come down there when it is 65 degrees and pound that site! :)

turn the thermostat waaaaaaaaaay down! :heh:

 Going in from 100 plus degrees to 40 or below degrees would be like walking out of an oven and into a freezer! Don't think a person could take either temp for very long! :)

God Bless!
