when you guys get deep coins lets say over 7 inches or so does your ferrous readings go up a lot? for example if you had a quarter at 8 inches even what does the range of your ferrous readings go to. most quarters i find here read at 00-28 to 00-29 to around a few inches. i had a silver quarter buried some time ago behind my garage at 8 inches. i checked saturday with my 10x12 sef coil where i think it was and i got a reading of 23-28 solid and it had a nice high tone. there is no garbage in the ground around where i buried the quarter. when you folks hit deepies and they turn out to be silver do you remember if you ferrous stayed low or did it rise with the depth? and i am considering different areas and some places may be trashy and some clean. thanks for any help and as always happy hunting.
