Depth in East TN

My buddy runs a V3i here in East Tennessee. I have watched him dig minnie balls over 12 inches and a Confederate Read shell that was deeper than your elbow. I hunt with a F75 , but after seeing what the V3i can do, I bought another one. I had one before but I didn't have time to learn a new machine. Now I am going to see what it will do. Good luck hunting.

Good luck and keep us posted.:detecting:

Thanks! I will. I keep getting stuck between a GTI 2500, T2 SE, or the V3i. Each have their merrit, though a bit much for my first detector. I'd like to think they're something I could grow into.

New Market(Jefferson County). I've used various detectors before, including a Sprectrum and MXT Pro. Only found beer cans. The farm is supposed to be on a civil war battlefield and camp. The only camp or battle I've seen was between the Schlitz and Budweiser battalions, with an assist from the Coors and Miller cavalries.

Where there are beer cans there is treasure. Roane County, TN. My son uses a V3i for relic hunting and it is a deep machine. Not a turn on and go but a very capable detector once you start understanding how to set it up. That MXT Pro is also a good machine. Good luck .
