Depth meter with other than stock coils

I just recently started using the 8in Sunray coil on the ET and noticed the depth gauge readings to be shallower. I was told by another Explorer user that the depth meter on a 8in coil will be a 10in scale. I like to hear your opinions, especially Andy's. Thanks guys!! EddieB

When I use the Minelab 8",or even the Sun-Ray 5".........I have noticed in PP targets do read deeper than they really are, but. If you notice. When you initially first find the target ,It seems to more acurrately read the deepth on the depth meter,'Till you PP'.
