Sherry hasn't seen her friends from the church down there in a long time so went to visit with them at the mall. Gave Casey a chance to be with her best friend down there to shop and talk at the mall and time for me to metal detect in between rain drops.
I hit a small playground where I found this very heavy 14K necklace (and it isn't brokem - must have fallen out of a pocket as the clas was still connected and in one piece):

Nice design to it:

Below shows all the finds from the small playground and the elementary school. The necklace, spoon, part of a toy car, the dime, and a couple pennies came from the small playground in a housing area. The rest were found at the school.

Not often I find a button - let alone two of the same design - think this is a first.

I had to stop using the detector. Got to the point I was using the backlight on the screen of the Minelab, and using the pinpointer to locate the item which I couldn't see....was feeling for it in the dark. Guess I should have a headlight in my bag instead of home. But a great time and the American Flag pin made me think that this might be a school that tells its students to be proud Americans and remember 9/11/2002. Hope you all had a good day detecting.
