:detecting: Bought some new batteries and got "voltage overload" :ranting:

I'm at work right now, but it looks like kellyco has them for $14. Probably should just save yourself the hassle of running around trying to find something that works. Also like was stated above you don't want to blast your batteries with too much amperage.

14$ not bad. So far these lith's I have are working good. I have 3 hours on them with one hour with the light on and it's still 100%. My stock battery would be at 50% by now.

OK. I originally ran the batteries down with a dc motor so I would clear the over voltage warning when I first installed the batteries. Now at 7 hours I will still get the over voltage warning. I simply repower the etrac up about 4 times and that kicks it down enough to fire up. I ran it for another hour last night with the light on and it still has full bars!

I just use the cheapest alkalines at ALDI's. They are 2.99 an 8 AA pack. They last as long as Duracell's or Energizer's.

I got these half price on clearance so I figured I would try them. My wife had thrown my wall charger away so I had to do something. So far so good.....

those energizer lithiums are strong. i think 1.75 to 1.9 volts. also i have "recharged"them several times before they finally die out. you could use 4 lithium with 4 regular rechargeables(1.3 volts and would work ok

I finally got them tamed down. 8 hours of use with 1 hour of backlight and it still shows full bars.
