Detecting Day With My Son

lasergod said:
Awesome. I only have twin girls now. Neither will detect for anything!

I started out with triplets back in December of 2006. We had identical twin boys and a fraternal sister. They were born 1 lb.1 oz. (24 weeks to the day). We lost Zane after 29 days and the two that survived had quite a battle. Cade and Hannah were in the NICU over at Indianapolis for over 4 months. Cade had 5 major surgeries before he got out. Hannah had 3 major surgeries before she got out and 2 after she got out. Hannah was on a feeding tube, oxygen, and heart monitor for over 3 years. She got sick every day for about the first 18 months and still has troubles to this day. Long story short is that these kids are miracle kids. Cade is going to a growth specialist and he's going to be 10 years old this year and just now broke 50 lbs. on his weight. He has a hard time swinging the detector and tires easily but he enjoys going. He read all these posts and he got a kick out of all the encouragement you guys gave him. Thanks guys for your kind comments to Cade and I...Find some good ones...John

Congrats to the little guy. Finding cool stuff the first time out is a sure-fire way to get him hooked.

Awesome hunting day with your son. I know the feeling and it is a good one. I started my son hunting when he was 7 and we still hunt together. He will be 21 this year.
