Deus Questions Coming...

Traded my V3i in for a new Deus/WS5 headphones/11" coil package this weekend. Reading manual & reading Andy Sabisch-The Deus Handbook. I'm sure I will have questions for the forum soon!

I sold my v3i to get the deus ws5 with 11" also and have Andy's book. I've been going back to some of my old sites ( cellar holes and plowed fields ) and been finding a lot that my previous machines missed. I am using a tweeked deus fast program.

You did yourself some justice. I personally feel the Deus will leave that Whites unit in the DUST!!! (Not a bash,JMHO)
The Deus is just so more more machine and Versatile for darn near any situation. Very adjustable
for any ground settings with more options. Deus in the Future here will be making a bigger entrance
into this Great hobby and past time.I honestly believe they will be the Number 1 detector of choice
in the hands of Dedicated detector users. My find rate has doubled with the Deus. Sure I dig JUNK
but this machine just sniffs out targets amongst Iron when set up right. It finds plenty that others
have just walked over as it's my experience anyways. My advice to you would be start with a simple
program, don't use the main remote at first, use WS 4's and hunt 4 tone and put 20 hours on her and
dig it all to feel her out. After you get the feel of her then that's when you should start making adjustments
to start learning what this machine can do. I stress using manual ground balance and keeping an eye on it
as tracking mode has its uses but I just prefer a manual G.B. unless area is really clean with little
change in the ground. Yes there are many good machines out there but some of these hyped newer brands
have coil issues, software issues, etc. , etc. My Deus just PERFORMS and finds the Goods!!! No ISSUES
ever with my unit and and any issues with DEUS are IMMEDIATELY corrected here in the States and your not
waiting a week or 2 for any Warranty problems. All I can say is you made a WISE choice and the
DEUS is just AWESOME!!!!

Gary's Deus video's are great and I highly recommend them to new Deus owners.

I think that you'll be happy with your choice. I spend some time your area on weekends. Just look for the bright Cat orange jeep.

I hunted with my E-Trac for over 7 years non stop - I still have it - I still use it and I still love it - but now I use my Deus at least 90% of the time.
To say the least ... the Deus is a fantastic machine !

Good Hunting !

Well I guess that old V3i served it's purpose. I had great luck with it when I owned it. Anyway, glad you are on the XP Deus bandwagon! Great machine.
My old back just could't handle that V3i anymore for long hunts. Was a great machine though. Hope the next owner gets some use out of it.

Keep us posted on your Deus finds, good decision to get one. Swing it all day, no fatigue and it will flat find the deep stuff!

Thanks to all who have replied. I really appreciate the help & info provided.

The V3i worked well. But after using my Tesoro Vaquero in a competition hunt all day, I really enjoyed the light weight & fast response time. I got a chance to try an XP Deus & realized that I liked the light weight & the response time on it. Besides I figured if you was willing to sell your V3i to me & keep the Deus...there had to be something to it. :) I'm also looking toward retirement & thought now would be a good chance since I had a dealer willing to work a deal with me.

Silverseeker I use Deus and V3i and Deus is not much more machine than V3i it is less , it has maybe 20% of what V3i has for adjustments .The only advantage it has it's weight ( V3i recovery delay is adjustable also) Learning your machine is the key .I dig 9-10 " coins with Deep Silver program no problem .

You made good decision on the Deus! I too had v3i and traded it off for the XP. And here's the kicker! I went over the areas that I detected with the v3i and found more stuff with the Deus! Not that the v3i is bad, just
that the Deus is better. I am not trying to bash any detector manufactures, that's not my way. But dollar for dollar your going to like the Deus.

[attachment 329843 DSCN0959.JPG][attachment 329844 DSCN0957.JPG]Ive had mine for a week and ive hunted the trashiest places on earth and one of those places has been pounded .when I say trashy I mean trashy were people have tried to pull out targets and went away crying and the deus sniffed some targets out .love the machine ! thats a couple of the targets I found with it.

Still in the learning mode on the Deus. But I am definitely impressed with the capabilities of the Deus. Tend to disagree with the thought that it is less machine than a V3i. My friend & I hunt together neatly every weekend. He uses the V3i. I use my Deus. Both machines are very capable machines. He likes his display. I like the light weight of my Deus. Both detectors will get the job done. Currently practicing with Andy Sabish coin program from his book on the XP and his trash program.

Went out yesterday to a yard site that we are about ready to give up on. Decided to hit the yard for another short hunt. Got a double signal. One signal sounded chopped & the other sounded good. VDI indicated dig...found a memorial 3" down standing on it's edge. About 4" away found the second signal...1955 wheatie 4" down. Fun machine to learn on!

I got rid of a VX3 and got a Deus. I havent looked back. I dont even miss my Whites.
