... he's one of the guys I met on Tnet.
LI Tom, Ricardo NYC and I are all going for a magic number of 50 silver for the year. Ricardo pulled it off the other day, I was at 43 and Tom has been stuck on 48 or 49 for the last month. If wheaties were silver, he would have had a pretty good day
He managed to pull 8 or so from amidst the trash in a picnic area of a local state park. I started off with the stock 10.5" but decided to change to the 8.5" after a while. Only had a couple of clad and 2 or 3 wheats until I worked around an old tree. Got a good signal peeking through the trash and dug down only about 2 or 3" and found a '48 Washington of all things (silver #44). We've both picked up silver there in the past but I didn't think there were any quarters left. That's only the 2nd one I've ever found there (also around an old tree but deep and under roots). This is the same area where I found my first LC, just under the surface
This washington looks like it must have been sitting close to the surface for a while too...
