Did your new E-Trac get you in trouble?

Dang

Active member
I know if I just went out and bought a new E-trac my wife
would kill me. I wonder how many of you guys are in the
dog house for buying one.

She knows how much I love this hobby and is happy for me to have the best toys I can get. I am the same with her, if she wants something, I want her to have it. I have always worked and brought my money home to her. She manages it. She now makes more than I do and I think it's great. I do try to offset things sometimes. Like now I have too many detectors. I sold my F75 because I tired of it and still have a T2. I also play electric guitar and have lots of them. I am going to sell one to help make up the difference, but she wouldn't give me any grief about it if I didn't.

Of course, I am not spending housing or food monsy on it either....

Life is short... live it and enjoy it.

Make sure you get home before she does when UPS drops it off or send it to work addr. I scattered various parts of mine around the house and quickly hid the box.

So basically you never told her, heehee.

Don't worry, she is probably doing the same thing to you when she splurges on something.

I NEVER get myself in trouble with my wife when I buy a new detector!!!!!--She just doesn't have "problem one" with me buying as many detectors as I like!!!!---Cause she loves detecting as much as I do and always says "you get one----I get one"!!!---But boy-that sure makes me really think just HOW BAD I want that detector--can get expensive in a hurry.---She's my best friend and VERY BEST detecting pardner--so I guess I'll keep her around.---Maybe she will want the next detector---guess what happens then!!! :bouncy:---------Del

you got yourself a real keeper there Del. I use to invite my wife along but she always declined. I don't ask anymore. To each his/her own. She loves AA and I MD.

My wife told me she would divorce me if I bought one. So I found a good deal on an SE, no go!

So I asked about a new SE PRO coil and was told no. I bought it anyway and I will now sleep on the couch for the next two or three weeks.

How do you guys afford to buy new machines?

I can't but you only live once. And my one time is getting shorter.

and you can't get a log in the fire place. I know when my wife is upset she don't care how long I stay detecting, that can't be all bad.. Happy trails 2 Y

Oh she buys lots of expensive stuff, but it's all neccessary, whereas i waste my money on lots of junk that i obsess about, don't use, and clutter up the house with! Other than that she's OK and i do have a lot of "stuff."
