"DIGGERS" Token Found

HI, all:

Well this is strange. Was hunting the Camp/Skirmish site I've been hunting the last month with my F 75 when I dug a token. When I cleaned it up I found it was from the "Diggers" of TV fame. I confess to watching the show, although I fast forward through the cartwheels and hooping and hollering. I like to see what they find. The face of the token says "Trade Dollar" and a shield with the letters "ATC" on it. I've seen the logo on their shirts and hats, but never knew what it stood for. On the reverse are four figures with metal detectors with the words "Anaconda Treasure.Com" across the top (ATC).Also above the detectorists are four names, including "K.G." and "Ringey". I went on the website and saw their promo stuff. I sent them an email to let them know I found one of their tokens and to ask what it was worth. Never got a response. At any rate, it sure makes me wonder what the token was doing there, I know they use Garrett detectors on the show,

Thins that make you go hmmmmm,

They've obviously hunted that same spot and left it for someone like you to recover.

Around the Richmond area some hunters plant repo. plates to find out where other hunters are finding stuff it saves them time and research . They age the plate so word gets around real fast . Who ever planted token could have same motive?..

Last message does not seem to make sense. Unfortunately people do place false relics but how could it help anybody? Knowing that hunters went where you have already been has no value. The diggers do it for advertisement value.

I did get an email response from them. I asked if they planted these at the places they hunt. All they would say is "People lose things all the time."

I'm sorry if I came across to harsh but that's the way it is around Richmond it's very competitive. If you have a good site to hunt some of the other hunters will follow you look for a car parked or plant things to find your site . I moved to another part of the state so I'm not in that race anymore. I shouldn't have judged their motives for planting the tokens
