Dirt Dog

New member
Came back from MD'n today covered in dirt, wife called me a "dirt dog.". Kinda like that name. Hard to stay clean in this sport.

Went to a park today in town, big trees and dark dirt. Went over about 1/16 of it and pulled up 3 wheats and two rosies. 53d and 56d rosies we're in the same hole. Virgin territory. YEAH!

Great finds! My wife has a hard time getting the dirt out of my blue-jeans when I go metal detecting.

This maybe a topic for a new thread. "What do you look like when you come OUT of the field?"
Nice job on the rosies and finding "virgin" territory!

Sunds like you've got 15/16 of a prospects to search yet... Average it to 1 coin per trip and you've got some good hunts to go... Try getting a set of knee pads at Lowes and a pair of Nitrile Gloves... Helps reduce that "grubby dirt dog" look...

My wife points me to the laundry room also. She tells me to bring home the coins and jewelry not the dirt.

LOL....most of the time not much dirt at all. But I do like "getting my geek on' after the boomers go through the area saturating the ground, giving that halo effect to the coins, especially dimes. Was out for a hour last night & clad ruled the night with 9 dimes and 3 wheaties (can't tell dates yet) and 8 memorials. HH
