discrimination looking for a serious debate

I dig it if it is a repeatable say 20-44, or an 18-45. I believe there was a post at one time if I'm not mistaken that stated 26 was a good breaking point for your ferrous line. I rarely see anything but iron when above a 17 or so though.

I have to agree, that 17 and up generally is a nail although I will dig up to a 20 or so it if it sounds good both ways...smooth tone rather than that "crackly" tone of rusted iron but saying that I have been fooled many a time...just have to live with it.

i am stuck inside as snowing here in england so cant use different detector modes grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i think i will stick to two tone ferrous as better for me personally my ears cant stand it when it starts singing like a canary on crack so less sounds seems to be more finds but the jury is out until i can actually get out there to prove a few things to myself it is a very individual thing and i agree it depends alot on your ground conditions love my etrac and hope i can learn its language and then i will be able to talk to it lol

sugar, I am going to try that when I can get back out again. I've set the disc pattern up and saved it, but this week have had problems keeping me from md'ing. Right knee ligament and muscle cramp in my back, so I'm in phys therapy 3 days a week, and no md'ing (and no relief yet). m anxious to get back out there. Hope your wx improves soon.

thanks for that bill de and i hope your health improves soon i have got so much fitter since detecting i had a hip problem which seems to have cleared up since i started detecting so good luck and happy hunting when you get yourself going again
