DO I BUY A ETRAC OR A BLISSTOOL

Steve - my Buddy Carter has the spots - when I find out - I'm PM you. We obviously are looking for the "bad" red dirt. The DIV type of dirt - do you detect in spots like that?

No, that type of dirt is further south then me, say like Culpeper. I run into every once and a while, but not often.

Plan is we're leaving for Culpepper tuesday at 4:30am to spend the day there. we shall see how it does and will report back good or bad...

Good move my friend as the Bliss is a real gem of a detector, you will not believe the quality and peformance for ya buck as you guys say. By the way i have both and if one were to go it would be the etrac.

Blisstool LTC64X V3 works in RED Virginia Dirt (Culpeper)

Buy the right tool for the job. Everything depends on YOUR detecting environment.

The BLISSTOOL USA website specifically states that this machine is NOT for parks and schoolyards. But it performs phenomenal in salt water beach for really deep gold or hitting gold chains, it's a non-ferrous magnet at extreme depth on farm fields/pasture and it delivered a nice repeatable 12" on a quarter in Culpeper red clay dirt. What other distributor tells you NOT to buy their machine for use in specific environments that it is not suited for?

I love the E-Trac but for everyday use in farmfields until I've cleared out the shallow 8" of non-ferrous, I use the Deus. Why? Because on clean farmfields working the top 8-9" there is not much difference between the two except for the weight.

From 8" to 10", the E-Trac is MUCH better than the Deus for target ID. Beyond 10" the E-Trac really starts to lose signals.

Not only is it highly sensitive to shallow non-ferrous items but beyond 10" - the BLISSTOOL rules...

My friend you mentioned that you sold your se recently. i am not an etrac user i use my old faithful explorer 2 and my sovereign but forgive my ignorance is the etrac so much better than the se deep wise? i know that it has better descrimination and target id but i never saw a stock etrac going deeper than my explorer 2 with the 15 inch wot coil. But again this is my honest opinion in my country's soils.
On the other hand i saw the blisstool and i was really impressed. I never saw this machine here in Cyprus and i am planning if it proves to be as good as shown in videos in buying one in the future.
Basically i can't make you decide but if i was you selling my se for something else i was going to buy the blisstool(the prices in europe i think are much lower).
But again if you are planning to buy an excellent all around trusted machine go for the etrac which will be easier to learn since you had an se before.
