Do not let anyone tell you the Safari can't find coins

My finds for the last few hunts. Hope this encourages anyone who has a Safari to keep going with the detector. The Safari is a chatty machine but it sings on coins and as you see Silver...

great info. No truer words have been spoken about the Safari

I hope I am able to keep using it due to the weight. Shoulder is feeling the pull .. ??????

Lightens up the load and still hits silver DEEP. I keep that coil on my Safari most of the time unless beach hunting...them the 11 inch Pro coil goes on it.

Thank you for the offer .Therover offered to send me the 8" coil to try.... People like this enforces why we have the best forum, and the best people in the hobby right here at findmall.
Thank you so much Sir... Your awesome...

Elton, with me not having a shoulder harness-swingy thingy........when my shoulder /elbow pain struck after extended hunting, I wound up re-tracting the lower shaft a bit, in effect bringing the distance of sweep closer to my body. It works well with the advantage of using a slow sweep as we can all testify to and I don't need to switch off using both arms to swing the Safari.

I hated my Safari when I first got it, but now, after I learned its "language" and got used to it, I wouldn't trade it for anything!

I agree, I would never get rid of my Safari. It's an awesome machine once you take the time to learn it. It took me a good 2yrs to really learn the language & the little differences in the sounds. I'm still trying to figure out how to tell Gold from junk, I have not mastered that yet & I may never master that, sometimes those pulltabs just sound too good not to dig them.

Great finds! To reduce the weight of my Safari I replaced the 11 inch coil with the SEF 8 x 6 inch coil. Now I can wade right into the trashiest areas of the parks, and come away with several keepers.. I don't seem to have lost much depth, if any at all. The most interesting items I've found in those trashy areas has been rings. Of the 12 rings I've found so far this year 11 of them have come out of these park areas, and only one was a water find.
