Does anyone else seal the skid plates on you Deus

On all of my detectors i have sealed the skid plates with bathroom caulk, i haven't done it yet on my Deus, does anyone see a problem with?

I always take it off first and clean it well so there is no sand or any type of material in between the coil and the skid plate. At times it can be a real bear to get the plate off and clean each time you hunt.

Any Feed back would be appreciated

I was thinking that same thing. I see no problem with doing it other than having to cut the seal when replacing the battery a few years down the road.

I've used clear rtv silicon on all of my detector coils and never had any trouble. I just haven't gotten around to doing the deus 11 yet.. It saves a lot of work in the long run. HH-Mark

I don't seal mine.
I see no real problem with removing it and cleaning it when needed.
Just if there IS a problem with it being hard to remove heat it in warm water and it pops right off.

I've never sealed any of my detectors and never had a problem. Seems to me that sealing it may just add a problem.
