Does anyone hunt with the analyze screens?

Mike Hillis

I finally got some time to fool around with my new V3i and noticed that the analyze screens (sizing and polar plot) are very slow responding. I was wondering if anyone hunts with them as the primary mode, and if so, how do you speed their response time up?

None of the guys I know do. I don't use the analyze screens myself. They don't add much for me over the main screen and pinpoint screen.

i dont use them either. as u noted they are too slow. same as rob i feel there is plenty of info to make a dig descision without them. when i use it ,its just for fun

I don't even use them as a secondary mode Mike, no use for the duplicated info.

Thanks all,

The slowness is probably why many don't take advantage of it.
I guess I'll figure it out as time permits.

i feel the spectragraph is one of the most usefull tools on the v . i would get that figured out first . combined with the pp strength its deadly .

Not really Mike, most of don't use it because the same info is on the spectragraph and pp screens, the info is just presented in a different way, not as accurate and slower to process.

The spectragraph and I are old friends. I'm trying to make new friends. :)

If it is doable, I'll figure it out.

Hey mike, polar plot helps me in the way the signals show on the screens. Length of pp signals, lines vs circles, quadrants tagged etc. My favorite of course is the nice 2.5 freq line longer than the others. Lol. I still use polar plot.

I anybody can figure it out and make a new friend it is you Mike.

I use "Scan Analysis" on Analysis or Pinpoint mode.
I've done some tests and researches on that and I've discovered some nice tricks to be used during real hunting.
