Does anyone know if the stock 11"DD coil on the Eurotek Pro is waterproof?

Just wanted to ask before bringing it to the beach and frying it in shallow water. Thanks for any info you can provide. By the way, this IS a great little detector! I've been using it less than a week and it still found a couple of coins I missed in my back yard with my Sov XS and Coinsearch coil. That's saying something! The only issue I've had so far with the 11" DD is it's love for crown caps. They ID the same as pennies and dimes but I guess I have to look a little closer to the tell tell sign of the iron indicator flickering. HH George

Not sure if it is able to be a wader or not. I am sure that most First Texas machines do like the old rusty Crown pop top bottle caps..

My question is does it make a buzz like sound as it goes over the crown tops just before it beeps ????? My F75 LTD does. So did the T2.

No, mine was actually just a good clean signal over the newer crown caps I was finding but after I dug a couple, I did check them again and saw the tell tale flicker of the iron icon.

Thanks .that would work for me too.
