I have had my ctx vor 3 Weeks now.I ve been using the default programs and
Those ferous tones zre hats got me to bet used to, having used the
Etrac for 3 years. cAn any one hook me up with a program that my Etrac
Conductive toned ears can beter understand ?..Help iis appreciated.Thunks

I have been to a degree..
auto+2
50 conductive low trash (also using ground coin but not really happy with it so far, could be type of soil and type of trash)
fast on change that to get a more precise number, leave it to get a better separation(could be wrong on that)
deep off.. haven't had the need to have this on...still testing it
discrim up to the ferrous 24 line with a little higher on the right side up to 22 to help with nails.
discrim on the top similar to etrac, but I usually leave it open.. I have been watching how signals will move around.. if they jump straight up and down(a vertical orange line) in the (1220-1230) range on target trace and not slanted (left to right) it is usually conductive trash and some fe trash falsing. Also if you get what looks like splatter paint and erratic where it hits its rusty fe trash falsing.. if you get 2 or 3 hard at least light orange or darker spots that keep repeating and are on the 12 line look out could be a multiple good targets.. I have dug more coins spills in the last month CTX and could say "It's a coin spill" before diggin than I did with the E-trac and a trash coil and taking time to separate each target last year..

I actually have had better luck with combined.. but its probably the type of area I hunt.....combined settings I use are in my signature or go to the CTX classroom and try Digger's... just don't post over there just yet...
