Does the Discovery TF-900 two box metal detector qualify as an analog metal detector? :)

But not sure about the discovery, just comes down to digital or analog circuitry though. I think most 2 boxes are analog.......Crazyman, any input? If it's an LED type read out, it's digital.....if a metered needle, it's analog. Just a basic rule of thumb.

Discovery TF-900 and was possibly made by Discovery for White's Electronics...not absolutely sure. Does your TM-808 have the "cave" locating mode? Please have a great day out there in California! Kelley (Texas) :)

Yes it does have cave mode Fred, great for finding old abandoned septic tanks too! Now that you mention it I believe you are correct about the Discovery being made by/for White's Electronics. Wasn't there an old Discovery 5000, 5900, 6000 etc built some time back as well?

Many years ago, a neighbor had to drill a new water well, and the water well folks hit a cave about twenty feet below the surface. They claimed that it was approximately fifty feet from the ceiling to the floor of the cave. I used the Discovery TF-900 and found a large void in one of our pastures near the neighbor's water well site, but could never find the opening to that "possible" cave. It has been so long since I last used the TF-900 that I would have to study the owner's manual again. I originally bought it to use in helping locate some bottle dumps around some of the old ranch houses on the ranches down here in South Texas. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas) :)

Somebody must remember something about this?
