Does the etrac lock on to deep coins?

I just picked up an etrac. I have plenty of experience with explorers. Do you find that the etrac tends to lock onto coins? I can always tell a coin on my F75 because it jumps around maybe 2 or 3 vdi #s. I am especially curious when searching for nickels.
What about deep coins, I understand for the most part they do not ID as well, but are they still fairly accurate?
 
I gave up my F75 for the ET because of the better ID and Disc. Less trash and more finds comes with most Minelabs ive seen.
