I pulled the batteries on Safari and 1266X today we had 3 inches of frost in ground and then got dumped on 6 inches of snow in northern Illinois.I did sell 491 wheat's that I found for 2 cents apiece not bad wheat count since bought Safari in July.Sold a high school ring 10K that weighed 9.2 penny weight. for 99 dollars this weekend I found 3 weeks ago.About 231 dollars short of paying what Safari and extra coil cost me.19 silver coins since July will sell them on ebay with tokens when hunting season is over been a fun year Safari took a while to get hang of but is talking now.

Prep1957 - Glad you've been able to recoup most of your Safari costs by selling some recoveries. Too bad Old Man Winter moved in with an attitude.
Not winterizing the unit just yet, was out yesterday for an hour in 34 degree temps, managed just a '46 d wheatie & handful of clad from a vacant lot where a large home had stood until the late 1970s a couple of blocks from the beach.

Wow Prep!! You got down to business with the Safari in a hurry. 491 wheats since july is awesome. Glad to hear you machine is almost paid off. If you make it down to Fl. this winter, let me know.
Time to do some research,
Bunker

Getting really cold here in north east Penna. 20's and 30's.Can't bear the thought of stopping.had to much fun with new Safari since april.25 silvers.cashed in about $ 800.oo in coins and silver.Oldest coin was 1864 IN penny.Got a nice silver half from 1900 in grandpas yard.About 20 silver rings.Lots of tokens.Went out detecting last week.It was in the 30's.Machine worked OK.Is it safe to go out in 30 or less?Don't want to hurt machine. What is a safe cut off temp.

Sorry you had to pull the batteries Prep. All those wheats since July! Man you've kicked the wheat market....no wonder the Chicago Board of Trade lowered the price of wheat!!!!!

Great finds and great hunting man! Looking forward to next year.
