I love mine. Go at least a month (~30 hours of hunting) between charges.

Mine started and stayed on two bars (50%) for a 4 hour hunt Sunday. I hunted 7 hours Saturday which is when it went from 4 to 2 bars.

I haven't charged it since February 20th. Will likely charge it before my next hunt since it will be at least a 5 hour hunt.

I got mine in the post today, can't wait to try it out ! It's on charge right now, the two hour clock is counting down.

My 1600 mah was only lasting 5 - 7 hours, at one stage I could get close to 12 hours from it, but not anymore !

UPDATE --- Took 1 hour for the battery to charge ! Red light is now a GREEN light !

Will using this battery effect the factory warranty on the E-trac? If not then I'm in. Sounds like a HAVE TO HAVE ITEM!!!!

Maybe I will try them in a couple years after my warranty runs out but if you read page 15 of your owners manual it clearly states" the use of rechargeable lithium ion batteries will void your warranty."

Nuke em I was told by a guy here " Eastern Iowa" that he had sent his E-trac in for repair ? and they sent it back and said they could not or would not repair it as he had "Exposed it to to high of voltage". He WAS NOT using the RNB so no claim or finger pointing implied here. He had a pack made at a large national chain known for batteries and said that when sent in they could tell it was exposed to the higher voltage and sent it back. Had used the pack for 5 months so not that it was put in and fried it. So RNB ok to use or not? Want to if I can.

Best thing I ever bought I left my detector in my truck all winter and the battery is still fully charged. I love this battery you can hunt about 35 hours on it.

Ohhh I see... so if we knowingly use an accessory that voids the warranty we will try to keep it hush hush and who is to know the better about it?

Hello,
Minelab will tell you in their Manual not to exceed 13 volts.

Using a 8 Duracell Alkaline AA Batteries at 1.5v = 12 volts

Our ML-2900 Charges to 12.5 Volts and will not harm your machine! We use a Smart Charger that shuts off at 12.5 volts. ( a green LED light will alert you )

I would not recommend using Ebay or other sources selling AA Lithium-ion or Lithium-poly the voltage per battery is to high!

A single AA Lithium-ion or Lithium-Poly rechargeable Battery is 3.2 to 3.7 volts. 8 of the 2.7 would be 21.6 volts and could fry your machine and that is the reason Minelab will tell you not to load these Batteries into your AA holder.


We've been using our Batt Packs in the Whites and Minelab Detectors for over 3 years and have had nothing but positive response from all of out field testers and hunters around the World !

I am blown away by the performance of this battery.I have several hunts on the first charge and still have full bars. It is the most impressive battery system (for anything) that I have ever used.

You need to plan on replacing it with one of these packs . . . . its lighter than the stock (and any less weight is a welcome feature ) and it is amazing how long it lasts. I've been out a few times and it never dropped off full . . . . about 8 hours and it finally dropped one bar. Leaving it on in the house, it ran for over 24 hours after being used in the field for about 4-5 hours. And then the fact it can be recharged in under 2 hours from stone dead makes you wonder why all manufacturers are not running LiON battery packs.

I have one of the smaller packs for my MXT and you can run better than 35 hours there before recharging it. I took the MXT with the AW2200 pack to Europe and ran it for a week and never recharged the pack . . . .

Hats off to RND on their unique product that exceeds thewir advertising claims . . .

I loved my pack so much that I bought another one for my Ex Xs II whilst I am not able (bladder health reasons) to hunt very much, I left my Etrac pack in the machine all winter in the house. I just removed the battery and checked the power in it, 12.40 volts! Woo Hoo, sorry Mr. rabbit, our relationship is over for good. I was buying over 100.00 per season in alkalines to keep my machines alive. Thank You RnB for an awesome product!.....NGE
