Dream hunt becomes a reality....Quarter Grand Slam WITH my FIRST BUST Quarter!:yikes:

Awesome finds!!! Bust coins showed up in circulation into the late 1800's... many of them were hoarded out of circulation along with nearly all other silver coins during the Civil War. It wasn't until the mid 1870's that the hoarded silver started to be released back into circulation when the government stepped up production of coins. Bust coins didn't last long then as they were plucked back out of circulation by collectors or for keepsakes. Great find there, keep at it! Take care and HH, Mike.

I have never seen a bust quarter. Good thing B-Rad didn't get ahold of it and shine 'er up for you. Nice hunt buddy.

Wow what a hunt. I'm sure you will never forget it. I've never seen a quarter slam done with a bust quarter before. Good luck on a return trip there.

Wow... spechless here too. That is an incredible accomplishment and I'm very happy for you. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Amazing finds buddy. Haven't see but a couple quarter slams in the last many years. The bust quarter is on my fantasy list. Sorry to hear some clowns ruined one of hours sites.

thank you Bryce for all your info on this site. i bought the se pro last year and am now starting to learn them iffy coin hits with my new 12x15 sef. although i have dug plenty of 9-10" wheaties with the pro coil. i now have the sef and am looking mainly for the iffy coin hits. but i noticed even after factory resets and noise cancelling often.... that my 12x15sef registers 2-3" deeper than the coins actually are. do you get the same with your sef's and if not what do i do to correct the depth meter? again thanks for the plentiful info. I read your post daily just to keep myself pumped up and ready to go find SILVER. THANKS Richard
