DX-1 probe

I'm having a problem with my DX-1 probe out being accurate all the time is there any suggestions on improving the accuracy, I've missed a few targets lately because the probe won't pick them up and then they disappear when I check the hole with the v3?
 
I haven't experienced that Jeff. I do notice that it doesn't go as deep as with the DFX but that is because I had the DFX cranked all of the way up and not so with the V3. I did up the (DC) on the DFX, Discrimination on the V3, which is the non motion mode and that helped a lot when using the DX-1 in pinpoint mode, trigger squeezed.
