E-TRAC and Nickels

Just picked up my machine today(wow)
Armed it with the sun ray X-1
Had a quick hunt before it got dark.
Does this sound true for any of you guys
That a pull tab or beaver tail will sound louder
in the audio than a nickel will at the same depth?
Any nickel tips are appreciated thanks.

I don't know about louder but I do know that my Nickle count is up by quite a bit with the Etrac over my SEpro. I'm hopeing that means more gold in the end.

For me the nickle giveaway is a solid FE 12 CO 12-13. Seldom will it vary unless it is deep. A tab will vary quite a bit.

In my area, a nickel will read, 12-13 every time, even deep "V" nickels. It will be a solid repeater signal every time. HH...Jesse.

Yes, this is my impression. The beaver tails will sound and read as nickels, but overall, nickels are softer and smoother in tone. Also nickels can range from CO10-20, but most are 12-13-14. I dud a shield nickel at about 3" that was a 12-10 and a buffalo that was 11-20, so just keep that in mind.
