E-trac emulater

Anyone know if there is a way to import a pattern from the E-trac emulater into E-trac exchange or directly to the detector??

thanks
Bill

I spoke to Max Derouen (emulator author) when I created my emulator data files. Minelab will not release the .ptrn file encoding scheme...it is a "secret" that, if known, could compromise the internals and allow hacking (I guess). So, patterns created with the emulator will not work in the E-Trac...if you try to import an emulator pattern into E-Trac Exchange it says "corrupted data". I'm researching this a little since I want to be able to export pattern files to the emulator for a different project.

If any one knows any different, please let me know.

I did email Max about this recently, but have not heard back.

Thanks for the info.

It sure would be nice to be able to sit at the computer and make and edit patterns.

well at least I can save them after doing it on the machine.

Thanks, Bill
