E-Trac found Gold!!!!!

Bill M

New member
Hunted an old home site today that has been hunted several times in the past, but thought we would give it another shot. My third target was a small ladies ring, 14K and few small stones. Actually the signal I dug was a small piece of lead, rechecked the hole and found the ring. After about an hour of slow going I got a crisp 10-32 and found a nice 10K gold mens wedding band. I've been metal detecting for well over 4 years and have only found 1 gold ring and today I find 2. Also about another hour passed and I hit this 1840 half dime (second one). I heard a rumor that E-Tracs can't find gold...................

SO COOL

Great Finds and So Exciting

Could you show more detail about the gold ring with diamonds
I'm a Girl

WOW!! very nice finds, Congrats.

Way to go on the gold! I have found 4 gold bands in 2 yrs. However, I didnt recall the numbers. I read alot about 12-30's for gold, but I always get a 12-13 when I air test a ring. What are the majorities seeing for common gold numbers... please post your findings.
THX,
Mike

That's nice. Let the rumor mills run wild about the Etrac's that can't find gold, that means less competition.....LOL NGE

The three gold rings I've recently found ( two 14k and one 10k) have been in the 11/12-17/18 range
Every time I have dug 12-40 and 12-30's I have only recovered pull tabs or bottle tops

I have found 9 golds this year. Two were 12-32 and a 12-35. One was a 3.5 carat 18KT Mens Cluster ring and the other was a 10K class ring. The Etrac is good on gold but the MXT is better on small gold.
