All,
Seriously considering getting an e-trac and was curious as to the nugget shooting and relic hunting capabilities, which coils for both these activities??? Looks like the e-trac is the top dawg for serious coin hunters just curious as to its other talents??? Im using a X-Terra 505 and it will move to the back-up/ lender role...

Thanks

im talking on par with the 705, not the super duper GPX machines, i figured with the 6" DD EXcelerator coil it would be at least as good as the X-Terra 705????

for small items and nuggets FBS is not very good and small coil dont make it better. xterra with high frequency coil is better and cheaper if you compare between this two detectors. for gold you need something special.

Yup. Second to none when it comes to deep coins, but not much of a nugget hunter.

you can use the e-trac for gold hunting but you have to understand the very small gold it will not pick up but just think the size of the nuggets your going to find they have to be huge at least the size of the rivet on your bluejeans or if you take a split shot weight and run it over the coil the size that it reads at a good depth is about the size of the nugget you will find witch will be huge just put the e-trac in smooth and farris so you can hear the low bump of hot rocks and iron ore BUT DO NOT EXPECT TO FIND SMALL GOLD JUST LARGE

thanks fellas, thats about all i would expect from any machine save for the GPX's, im sure the 705 is about the same...
