E-Trac on the beaches

Has anyone used an E-Trac on the North Carolina and Florida ocean beaches?

I'll be on vacation after Christmas for three months and I am planning on getting an E-trac for Christmas and will be using it on the beaches. Ahhhhhh YES ! Three months of metal detecting as much as I want. Life is good.

Does the E-Trac handle the shoreline black sand / salt water well? How is the depth in the sand? And the most important question of all........ Will having an E-Trac impress the ladies on the beach ?

One other question. Has anyone been using the E-Trac for gold prospecting? I will be out in Arizona this coming summer and was wondering if it is a good gold machine.

Gold will probably be at over $1000 an ounce and it would be nice to find a few ounces or pounds of the gold metal.
