E-trac pattern editing

Fraxinus

New member
Hi, I'm having a problem when trying to edit my own pattern. When editing if I touch the up arrow button to move cursor
the screen changes and asks me do I want to save to Quickmask. Any help would be appreciated. Pity I can't make pattern on PC and then upload.
Thanks Rob UK

Frankly, we don't get much detail from posting a blanketed instruction user manual about the Etrac. Editing the patterns on an Etrac needs to be more precise, and a link should be a direct link for the screen editing. Have tried looking at that Minelab link to trim my ETrac patterns over years, and that never have helped. jm2c

My old Explorer SE units had a sweet search screen pattern. Why couldn't Minelab have made an emulator available for the ETrac? Turn that sideways screen on the Etrac back to up-and-down, like the Explorer, and set the limits the same, on the Etrac. It should be easy to do from ML as an option.

Anyone able to tell me how to emulate the SE pattern on the Etrac?

There was an Etrac Emulator program that was available 2010 or so. I don't think it was developed by Minelab, but it functioned like you were actually using the machine. However, this is probably useless information, because I don't remember where I downloaded that program from. Maybe a search in the Etrac forum for "Etrac Emulator" will produce some results.

A pattern made on the etrac emulator can't be used on etrac xchange to upload onto the etrac.
