I press the power button, and does nothing, batteries in good condition and I used it yesterday without problems, I am desperate
 
......my had had this problem. Was working fine......stopped for lunch.......wouldn't switch off.
Took out the battery to turn it off. Replaced the battery......wouldn't switch on.

........it had to go back.

In all fairness.......Minelab customer service was great!! Really quick turn around.
