E-Trac replacement coil?

Hi,

Just bought a used E-trac...the 11" coil is intermittent,think the cable is bad at the coil.
I'm wanting to replace it but not sure what's the best way to go...should I buy a minelab original 11" coil or put the money into a after market coil?
What coil would you guys suggest if I go that route?
Any advice would be appreciated....

It sure is a shame the factory coil is giving you issues...

I find myself using the Sun Ray Stealth X-8 coil more than 90% of the time...
Well made, very light, and amazing depth...

The 13 inch Ultimate coil is very,very very good ! That is what I would choose if I was to only have one coil ( I do have seven different coils). Now, with that said, the Sun Ray X8 is a fantastic mid-sized coil and the X5 a great small coil. The SEF 6X8 is another fine coil, as is the sef 10X12. But if I only was limited to one..........it would be the 13 inch Ultimate !
