E-Trac - Safari duel

To start out this is not about what machine is better. My son bought a Safari when I bought my E-Trac. I have hunted with several machines over the years and this is his first one. I have hunted my yard with every machine I have had over the last 10 years. I have dug so many plugs it looked like a war zone. They other day my son comes over and wanted to hunt. He went on my side yard where I have pulled many many ... many coins out. All new stuff. I just E-Trac'd it the day before and found even more. Its been raining here in Utah so I thought I would see what signals I could pull out of the ground. I came out to join my son and he met me halfway in the yard holding a Merc and 2 Wheaties. Just goes to show you, you cant get everything. And, he has found coins like a madman with that Safari. Great machine. I still like my E-Trac better but wound not mind at all to have a Safari backup. So we have a little duel going on. Think we are both up to 8 silver found this year...and the bragging goes on and on...Good Hunting

the safari is a decent machine I debated hard when I got my etrac, My dealer let me use his safari demo all weekend and I was impressed, but much more impressed with the etrac!

I have had a Safari for 2 years and it is a great machine. The FBS technology is the same as far as depth but the E-Trac gives so much more information when it comes to iffy signals. I do wish you could accept or reject targets on the E-Trac as easy as on the Safari. They are both very good machines but the E-Trac is just so versatile in any situation. Deep silver or any other deep targets cannot escape the technology Minelab has developed for our hobby. HH :minelab:

All I wanna add is that I own both machines and they are both real monsters of the deep, but the E-Trac is simply better technology..
