E-Trac..........the nickel lover!!! :inlove:

I always wondered how I could find so many pennies, dimes and quarters.......and just a few nickels. Oh, don't get me wrong, I have found my share of V-Nickels and Buffalo Nickels over the years.............but not like I'm finding with the E-Trac!!! The E is the best nickel machine I have ever used, especially for the deep V's and Buffs........went to a spot I've hammered pretty hard for a short hunt this morning, and sure enough, the E sniffed out a nice 1925 Buff that has probably been passed over by many a detectorists.

Thanks :minelab: Hawkeye Jim.

Congratulations! I found a 1904 V nickel just yesterday with the e-Trac that I know some other detectorist passed over because the area was nearly devoid of any other good signals. It's fun finding them!

Yep - I agree with you Jim - the E-Trac is great on deep Nickels - 99% of mine come in with that FE ( all over ) - CO (bouncing 11-12-13-14) .
Weird - unlike other good targets - from what I've seem after digging a few hundred Nickels - if the CON numbers don't jump around little - it's not a Nickel.

nice buff..... looks like it was never dropped.

I found 5 nickels today. The oldest 1949 and the newest 2006.

My very oldest nickel ever is my avatar. The 1869 shielded nickel.

The ET is very good at nickels.
