E-Track weight

Cache Man

New member
What does a E-track weigh with stock coil ready to hunt, I know it's 3.5 pounds without batteries, but with? I Know that a safari weighs less than a Garrett 2500, is a E-Track the same as a safari? thanks, I am thinking about purchasing one.
Cache Man.

The E-trac is one of the most well ballanced machines I have used. Very good ergonomics. Don't worry too much about the weight. Swinging it is not a problem.

I agree with Steve. I used to have the Explorer SE and it tore my back up, I have used the E-Trac 5 hours straight and felt just fine.

I believe the E-Trac is 3 or 4 oz. heavier than the Safari. I just sold my Safari and got an E-Trac last week. I've only used the ET a few times but even though it's a little heavier- it seems to be easier on the arm and shoulder.Because it's balanced better - I can swing the ET longer with out it bothering me at all.

I wish the control housing swiveled on its base to the left or right so I could look at it without turning the whole detector towards me, that would make a huge difference.

I can't agree more. Especially if you have the X-1 probe. Minelab, I hope you're listening and working on the E-Trac II

I have Art Right Us very bad---I can hunt 4-6 hrs. and no more hurt than when I started no matter what Loop I Use---It is the Best Balanced detector I have ever had

Dude... I mean Bro... I have it too, in my spine, mostly cervical and it hurts. The pain doctors help, I don't know what i'd do without meds. It is different for everyone I am sure but sometimes I can swing the V3 and the E-TRAC longer than I cna swing my T2... but I still have an F75 LTD on order because... 'no pain, no gain".

I feel for you, it hurts. I can give you some info on what helps if you need it because I have been through all sorts of treatment and meds.

Some things are worth the pain, huh?
