Can you tell me more about the button? I assume it was Civil War? How deep? How much junk around it? It is a nice find!

not deep came from around the house site where iron was pretty thick no modern trash to speak of really.

they are getting hard to come by here ive been wondering around the woods in 90 degree heat aimlessly for days lol . I will hit the site before long though if I don't have a heat stroke first.
